Najib heads Pahang honours list
KUANTAN Oct 23 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak heads the list of 1,211 recipients of state awards and medals in conjunction with the 80th birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, tomorrow.
Najib received the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormat (DK).
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob received the Sri Diraja Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SDSA) which carries the title “Datuk Seri Diraja”, a title introduced for the first time this year.
Twenty people received the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) which carries the title “Datuk Seri”, among them the sultan”s two younger siblings Tengku Datuk Nong Soraya Sultan Abu Bakar and Tengku Datuk Sulaiman Sultan Abu Bakar.
Other SSAP recipients are Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Wira Abu Samah Nordin, Pahang State Secretary Datuk Muhammad Safian Ismail, Information Communication and Culture Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Kamaruddin Siaraf, Customs Director-General Datuk Mohamed Khalid Yusof, Economic Planning Unit Director-General Datuk Ali Hamsa, Defence Ministry Secretary-General Datuk Dr Ismail Ahmad, Director-General of the Prime Minister”s Department”s Research Division Datuk Ahmad Zamzamin Hashim.
Army Chief Gen Datuk Zulkefeli Mohd Zain, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Hussin Ismail, Chief Private Secratary to the Prime Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kasim, Malaysia Airlines Managing Director Tengku Datuk Azmil Zaharuddin Raja Abdul Aziz, Petronas Holdings Bhd Chairman Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh, former Deputy Air Force Commander Lt-Gen Datuk Shahron Ibrahim, Jopami Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Abdahir Abdul Majid, Zhong Cheng Mining (M) Sdn Bhd President Datuk Tan Hoe Beng, Sumur Mutiara Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Mohd Nadzri Ismail, Fook Yu Electrical & Building Contractor Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Lai Chin Fook, Poly Electronic & Electrical (M) Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Foo Sae Heng @ Foo Sea Hing and Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) President Joseph S. Blatter.
The recipients for the Darjah Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) which carries the title “Datuk” are Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry Secretary-General Datin Madinah Mohamad and East Coast Economic Region Development Council Chief Executive Officer Datuk Jebasingam Issace John.
Among the 26 recipients for the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) which also carries the title Datuk are PLB Engineering Bhd Director Tengku Datuk Naizatul Shima Tengku Abdul Murad Shah Al-Haj, Works Ministry Deputy Secretary-General Puan Sri Zaiton Mhad Ali, Road Transport Department Director-General Datuk Mohd Solah Hassan, Advocate and Solicitor Datuk Ti Lian Ker, Pahang Irrigation and Drainage Department Director Zulkefli Hassan, United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Malaysia Nasser Salman Nasser Abd Alla Al-Aboudi and Singapore High Commissioner to Malaysia T. Jasudasen.
Ninety-two people received the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which carries the title Datuk, including Deputy Higher Education Minister Dr Hou Kok Chong, Tengku Ampuan Afzan Kuantan Hospital Director Datin Dr Marlia Mohammad Salleh, Shah Alam High Court Judges Mohd Yazid Mustafa and Zainal Azman Ab Aziz, National Agro-Biotechnology Institute Director-General Dr Hassan Mat Daud, Rompin District Officer Syed Fuad Syed Taha, Pekan District Officer Mohd Fadzli Mohd Kenali, actress and producer Datin Rosnani Ludin and Radio Televisyen Malaysia sports commentator Hasbullah Awang.
Thirty-one received the Darjah Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP), among them Pahang Deputy Health Director Dr Abd Rashid Che Ali and Ipoh Deputy Customs Director Abdul Latif Abdul Kadir.
Seventy-six received the Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP), including weightlifter Amirul Amizan Ibrahim, Peramu Jaya Assemblyman Ibrahim Awang Ismail, Pulau Manis Assemblyman Khairuddin Mahmud and Bernama Library and Information Unit Manager Hasnita Ibrahim.
Fifty-nine received the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), among them Pahang Culture and Arts Department Director Mohd Sukarno Abdul Wahab and Pahang State Develpment Corporation Assistant Manager Norliza Mohamas Yusof.
A total of 179 people received the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) including Pahang Traffic Staff Officer DSP Mohd Najib Jusoh and State Customs Superintendent Rahmat Md Johan.
A total of 157 people received the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), 185 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 382 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian. – Bernama
